Located in the municipality of Santa Eulalia, Huehuetenango, and founded in 1998 on the initiative of five women leaders from Santa Eulalia, with the goal of promoting participation and providing new opportunities for women throughout the municipality.

Initially, it focused on promoting women's rights and women's participation in public life and productive projects.

The Association is a founding member of the Municipal Women’s Office, providing technical support in the development of the Municipal Public Policy on Natural Resources. It has managed and coordinated efforts with various support agencies to achieve its objectives and goals on behalf of the women of the Q’anjob’al people.

Currently, the association’s main areas of focus are organizational and social development, forestry and agricultural development, and productive economic growth, including technical assistance to its members to help them access various forestry incentive programs. The association operates an agroforestry nursery and seed banks. Additionally, solidarity economy models have been established to generate income for women through environmentally sustainable enterprises (production of food, legumes, backyard livestock, textiles, handicrafts, and value-added products), which provide access to permanent and solidarity-based markets, such as supplying products to the school feeding program.
