Fostering resilient communities, recognizing and promoting solutions based on sustainable development. Creating opportunities for knowledge and good practices developed in local communities and indigenous peoples, effective participation in promoting dialogue, analysis, and the development of inclusive public policies have been the fundamental principles and objectives of the Guatemalan Community Forestry Association Utz Che´. Actions for which we are recognized by the PNUD through the Equatorial Prize 2020, which recognizes the commitment and commendable work carried out by the women and men who are members of the various community organizations that make up the large Utz Che´ Family.
Utz Che’ has been awarded the NGO Source Certificate of Equivalence, which recognizes us as an organization equivalent to a non-profit entity under international standards. This certification makes it easier for international donors and foundations to support us quickly and securely, strengthening transparency, trust, and efficiency in cooperation.
