Located in Aldea La Gloria, in the municipality of Uspantán, El Quiché, it is a legally incorporated association dedicated to promoting the integral development of its members. It is made up of families from the community of La Gloria.
On the other hand, in the community of La Gloria, there are specific agroforestry practices that combine the production of timber and energy crops with fruit and medicinal trees and plants, but primarily cardamom, which they sell. They collect their own seeds, mainly from native species (fruit, timber, and medicinal), which they use to reforest different areas of their individual plots. They also use living barriers that can be edible or serve for soil conservation. The set of agroforestry practices in the village of La Gloria reflects local knowledge and management practices that go beyond what is provided for in the agroforestry systems designed and promoted by INAB.
