ADIPAZ was established in 1992 as a civil association with the aim of unifying efforts to improve the socioeconomic conditions of the organization. It is made up of 24 communities in the municipality and department of Zacapa. Through the PINPEP forestry incentive program, 250 hectares of plots with agroforestry systems and 1,200 hectares of natural forests have been added for protection purposes.

It promotes actions to protect and conserve the natural resources of different communities, as well as actions to build resilience to droughts and mitigate climate change.
