On October 9, 1998, they legally established themselves as an association and obtained legal status. ACODAPCHI is made up of peasant collectives from the villages of El Pinalito, El Palmar, Durazno, Barreal, Plan de Guineo, and El Limar, in the municipality of Chiquimula. All are located in Guatemala's dry corridor, a situation that makes these communities even more vulnerable.
Since its founding, it has carried out actions for integral community development through good agricultural practices, soil and water conservation, food production, and management of small projects focused on women.
