{"id":3292,"date":"2020-09-15T08:17:22","date_gmt":"2020-09-15T08:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asociacionutzche.org\/?page_id=3292"},"modified":"2020-09-15T08:20:34","modified_gmt":"2020-09-15T08:20:34","slug":"parcialidad-baquiax","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/asociacionutzche.org\/en\/parcialidad-baquiax\/","title":{"rendered":"Parcialidad Baquiax"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\" style=\"color: ;}\" ><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Baquiax Parcialidad is a community belonging to the K\u2019iche\u2019 Maya people, located in the Juchanep canton of the municipality of Totonicap\u00e1n, 6 kilometers from the municipal seat; it was founded in May 1889 and was established as the \u201cBaquiax Parcialidad Association\u201d in 2009. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Members of the Baquiax Partialidad, through their community service known as K\u2019axko\u2019l in the K\u2019iche\u2019 language, carry out surveillance, control, and monitoring activities in forested areas to ensure their protection and conservation. The community\u2019s forest rangers are responsible for conducting daily patrols within the forest to control and prevent illegal logging and other issues in the area, ensuring the well-being of the biological diversity found there, as well as the water sources that provide water to local families.
